DD attar from nayaab international, sometimes called as Arabic attar or the sweet almond, is a vital oil obtained from almond tree stems. It has a very pungent and aromatic fragrance which makes it highly prized by many perfumers and cosmetic manufacturers.
It has been used since early times as a remedy for several ailments including: headache, flatulence, gastric-juice deficiency, menstrual disorders, nervousness, sleep disorders and wounds.
In fact, the ancients found a use for this substance in curing such acute diseases, which they considered as pre-meditated diseases. They have also used this essential oil to treat such common ailments as: diarrhea, dyspepsia, dyspeptic ulcer, neuralgia, tonsillitis, throat inflammation and ulcers.

The sweet almond flower is used in blending attar and in some perfumes and cosmetics. Attar is used both internally and externally in aromatherapy to treat such common maladies as acne, bronchitis, colds, flu, varicose veins, mouth ulcers, yeast infections, nervousness, nasal congestion,
peptic ulcers, stress and ulcers. It is also believed that attar possesses certain properties which aid in improving the immune system and in lowering blood cholesterol and triglyceride levels.
The generic name of this aromatic oil is “Iotaisy”, anagram for “ashes”. It originates from the Latin name “Iota”, meaning “ashes”.
The botanical name of this oil is “Auricularis aristata” or ” aristatae alba”. In my opinion, this aromatic, citrusy fragrance oil is the best thing that could ever happen to me!
